What is GABA rice cooker?

GABA rice cooker is just your normal rice cooker. Any rice cooker that can cook white rice can be used to cook GABA rice. The different is that when cooking GABA rice, you'll have to add more water to the cooker since brown rice grains are "harder" to boil than white rice grain.
Some rice cooker have "brown rice" function on it - this will helps you if you're not familiar in cooking GABA brown rice.

How to use GABA rice cooker then?

Since GABA rice cooker are exactly the same as normal rice cooker(remember I said in the last part that any rice cooker can be use to cook GABA brown rice?) - you can cook the GABA rice with same the method you use to cook white rice, just add more water.

Here are some general tips:
- Leave your brown rice in water for 8-20 hours prior to cooking. This will not only made the brown rice softer but also make it germinates into GABA rice
- Combine brown rice with white rice or other whole grains when cooking it - and add 1.5 times more water than you normal cooking
- To cook brow rice right away without having to leave it in water first - use 1:2 ratio of brown rice:water
- Adding one table spoon of vinegar will also helps in making the rice softer, and also help preserve the rice (GABA and brown rice are easier to go bad compared to normal rice)
- If you have GABA rice cooker that have "brown rice" function, you can consult your user's manual on how to make the best cooked rice with your cooker.

Where to get GABA rice cooker?

Just get a normal rice cooker from your local or online vendor. You may select the one that have "brown rice" function if you want, those will surely help if you're new in cooking rice. But from my opinion, to get the best cooked GABA rice you'll have to prepare the rice and use correct ratio of rice and water, thus any rice cooker will do. Just try and see the result for yourself, it's not that hard to cook the GABA rice!
